Welcome to Pocatello First United Methodist Church!

We’re a church community seeking to connect all we do to our mission of making disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world.

We are working to help all see Pocatello as a place where God’s kingdom is at work around us. From our monthly community breakfast to our outreach into the community, we aim to expand the reign of God in southeast Idaho.

Our Story

As a United Methodist Church, we’re about welcoming all. One of our mottos is “Open hearts, open minds, open doors.” We welcome all peoples to join with us in exploring what it means to follow Jesus Christ in his ways.

We welcome all – Those who don’t have it all together and those who think they do. We welcome all – Those who are political junkies and those who aren’t. We welcome all – Those who have maxed their credit cards and those who don’t have two nickels to rub together. We welcome all – Those who have walked with Jesus for decades and those aren’t quite sure about this whole Jesus thing. We welcome all – Those who have messed up their lives and those who have never ventured out on their own.

It’s the love of God that compels us to hospitality that we see in the way of Jesus. We’re leaning into life revealed in the kingdom of God that Jesus is inviting the world to.
